11. Selfish actions or loving actions. Once it’s determined whether you will react or respond, the next step is to act. Do you act selfishly, or lovingly? This step isn’t about what you do, but why you do it. Are you acting out of self-centeredness or other-centeredness—or toward yourself in love, rather than selfishness? If you decide you want to make as much money as possible, you could be motivated by greed, hoping to accumulate as many toys as you want. Or you could want to help your family get out of poverty, build an orphanage, or give it all away. Only you know the true motivation behind your actions. No matter what your actions are, they should be love based, not fear based.
